BuildFromRegionIndexed

Trait BuildFromRegionIndexed

Source
pub trait BuildFromRegionIndexed<T>: Sized {
    type Error;

    // Required method
    fn build_indexed(
        region: Region,
        pairs: impl IntoIterator<Item = (usize, T)>,
    ) -> Result<Self, Self::Error>;
}
Expand description

Indexed builder: constructs a mesh from sparse (rank, value) pairs.

§Semantics

  • Every rank in 0..region.num_ranks() must be provided at least once.
  • Out-of-bounds ranks (rank >= num_ranks()) cause an error.
  • Missing ranks cause an error.
  • Duplicate ranks are allowed; the last write wins.

§Errors

Returns Self::Error if coverage is incomplete or a rank is out of bounds.

Required Associated Types§

Required Methods§

Source

fn build_indexed( region: Region, pairs: impl IntoIterator<Item = (usize, T)>, ) -> Result<Self, Self::Error>

Validates coverage and bounds, and constructs a mesh from (rank, value) pairs.

Dyn Compatibility§

This trait is not dyn compatible.

In older versions of Rust, dyn compatibility was called "object safety".
